Հայ դպրոցականները միջազգային օլիմպիադայում 4 մեդալ են նվաճել
Պատերազմական իրավիճակում հայ դպրոցականները հաղթել են 2020թ. Աստղագիտության և Աստղաֆիզիկայի 14-րդ միջազգային օլիմպիադայում, որն առցանց անցկացվել է Էստոնիայում։ ՀՀ կրթության, գիտության, մշակույթի և սպորտի նախարարությունը տեղեկացնում է, որ Օլիմպիադային մասնակցել է 40 երկրի ավելի քան 280 աշակերտ։
Հայաստանը ներկայացրել է չորս մասնակից. բոլորն էլ արժանացել են մեդալների: Ա. Շահինյանի անվան ֆիզմաթ հատուկ դպրոցի աշակերտներից Արտաշես Գյոլեցյանը (11-րդ դասարան) արժանացել է ոսկե մեդալի, Եվա Հունանյանը և Կարեն Բաղդասարյանը (երկուսն էլ 12-րդ դասարան) արժանացել են արծաթե մեդալների: Քվանտ վարժարանի 11-րդ դասարանի աշակերտ Դավիթ Գյուլամիրյանը ևս նվաճել է արծաթե մեդալ։
Թիմի հետ աշխատել են Բյուրականի աստղադիտարանի գիտաշխատող, ֆիզմաթ դպրոցի աստղագիտություն առարկայի ուսուցիչ Մարիետա Գյուլզադյանը և ֆիզմաթ դպրոցի աստղագիտության օլիմպիական խմբակի ղեկավար Վարդգես Մամբրեյանը:
Օլիմպիադային մասնակցող 10 միլիոնանոց Ադրբեջանի և ավելի քան 70 միլիոնանոց Թուրքիայի թիմերի անդամներից որևէ մեկը նույնիսկ գովասանագրի չեն արժանացել:
