Այսօր ԱԺ պաշտպանության ւ անվտանգության հարցերի հանձնաժողովի նախագահ Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանը մասնակցում էր գեներալ Մանվել Գրիգորյանի հոգեհանգստի արարողությանը եւ լրագրողները նրանից հետաքրքրվեցին՝ ինչպե՞ս է վերաբերվում Դավիթ Տոնոյանի՝ ՊՆ նախարարի պաշտոնից ազատելուն: Նա պատասխանեց. «Պետք է չսպասեր, Դավիթ Տոնոյանը պետք է ինքը հրաժարական տար, ոչ թե սպասեր, որ իրեն հեռացնեն»:
Ինչ վերաբերում է այդ պաշտոնում Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանի նշանակմանը, Անդրանիկ Քոչարյանն ասաց. «Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանը պաշտպանության նախարարն է եղել, նույն մեր այն սերնդակիցն է, որը 90-ականներից կերտում է մեր զինված ուժերի կառուցումը, մինչեւ այն պահը, երբ որ ինքը Վազգեն Սարգսյանի կողմից նշանակվեց նախարար, հետագայում ճակատագիրը փոխեց բոլորիս կյանքի ընթացքը: Այսօր պատմությունը ոնց որ թե կրկնվում է՝ ես զբաղեցնում եմ Վազգեն Սարգսյանի առաջին զբաղեցրած պաշտոնը՝ հանձնաժողովի նախագահ եւ Վաղարշակ Հարությունյանը զբաղեցնում է ՊՆ նախարարի պաշտոնը: Դա նշանակում է, որ մենք անելիք ունենք եւ կորուստների վերադարձը պետք է լինի առաջնահերթ»:
