Տարածաշրջանում տրանսպորտային հաղորդակցության ապաշրջափակման շրջանակներում երկաթուղային նախագծերն Ադրբեջանի համար առաջնահերթություն են: Ինչպես հայտնում էminval.az-ը՝ այս մասին հայտարարել է այդ երկրի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևը,
«Ներկայում տարածաշրջանում քննարկվում են տրանսպորտի և կապի ոլորտում խոշոր նախագծեր: Այստեղ, իհարկե, գերակա նախագծերը Հորադիզ-Զանգելան երկաթուղու, այնուհետև Զանգելան-Նախիջևան, Նախիջևան-Թուրքիա երկաթուղու նախագծերն են, ինչպես նաև այլ նախագծեր: Ղարաբաղում պատերազմից հետո ստեղծված իրավիճակը նոր հնարավորություններ է բացում տարածաշրջանի երկրների համար, և «Ադրբեջանը պատրաստ է համագործակցության տրանսպորտի ոլորտում և իր ներդրումն է ունենում այդ աշխատանքում»: Ես արդեն հանձնարարել եմ սկսել նախագծել Հորադիզ-Աղբենդ երկաթուղին: Այլ նախագծեր նույնպես արդեն մեկնարկել են: Ֆիզուլիի օդանավակայանի շինարարությունը սկսվել է: Ինչպես ասացի, երկրորդ օդանավակայանը կկառուցվի Քարվաճառի կամ Լաչինի շրջաններում: Ֆիզուլի-Շուշի մայրուղու շինարարությունը սկսված է»,-ասել է Ալիևը՝ տեսակոնֆերանսի ձևաչափով ընդունելով տրանսպորտի, հաղորդակցություն և բարձր տեխնոլոգիաների նորանշանակ նախարար Ռաշադ Նաբիևին:
