Դաշնակցությունը երբեք չի զբաղվել պոպուլիզմով։ Այս մասին այսօր՝ մայիսի 28-ին, լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասաց ՀՅԴ Հայաստանի գերագույն մարմնի ներկայացուցիչ Իշխան Սաղաթելյանը։
«Դաշնակցությունն իր ողջ կենսագրության ընթացքում կանգնած է եղել մեր պետության եւ ժողովրդի կողքին։ Ինչ վերաբերում է վերջին ընտրությունների արդյունքներին, մենք գիտենք, թե ինչ պայմաններում են տեղի ունեցել այդ ընտրությունները, ինչպիսի իրավիճակ եւ մթնոլորտ է եղել։ Ես կարծում եմ առաջիկա ընտրություններին, թե դա երբ տեղի կունենա՝ կյանքն ու ժամանակը ցույց կտա, բոլորը կտեսնեն Դաշնակցության դերն ու նշանակությունը։ Դաշնակցությունն արդեն 1,5 տարի է արտախորհրդարանական ընդիմություն է եւ իր գործունեությամբ մեկ անգամ եւս ապացուցել է, որ իր գոյությունն ու գործունեությունը պայմանավորված չէխորհրդարանում լինելով»:
Լրագրողի հարցին,որ այն առճակատումները, որ կային Դաշնակցության եւ այլ քաղաքական ուժերի միջեւ, ո՞ր հարցերում էր, որ ապացուցվեց, որ Դաշնակցությունն իրապես ճիշտ էր․ Սաղաթելյանը պատասխանեց․ «Բոլոր։ Եկեք տեսնենք 2 տարվա մեջ ինչ է ասել Դաշնակցությունը, ինչ գնահատականներ է տվել ու այսօր ինչ իրավիճակ է»։
