Acba bank and American Express Expand Collaboration in Armenia

Acba bank and American Express have announced an expansion of their long-standing agreement which grants Acba the license to issue American Express Cards and acquire American Express-accepting merchants. Acba bank has been American Express’ exclusive licensee in Armenia since 2009.

 

Acba bank issues three American Express Cards in Armenia: the American Express® Gold Card, the American Express® Blue Card, and the American Express® Debit Card. Local American Express® Debit Card Members can earn cashback and local American Express® Blue and Gold Card Members can earn Membership Rewards® points on every spend. Local American Express® Gold Card Members can specifically enjoy access to more than 1400 airport lounges worldwide, comprehensive insurance and assistance as well as a range of exclusiveoffers1.

Through this agreement, Acba bank aims to continue increasing the number of locations that accept American Express in Armenia and continuing to service American Express Card Members in the country.   

            The signing ceremony for the renewal agreement took place atAmerican Express’ headquarters in New York City (United States of America) with Hakob Andreasyan, Chief Executive Officer of Acba bank, and Briana Wilsey, Vice President and General Manager of Global Network Services EMEA at American Express.
