General Director of Ucom participated in Silicon Mountains technological summit
Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom, participated in the annual Silicon Mountains 2024 technological summit held in Yerevan. This year's summit was dedicated to the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in the economy and the challenges it presents.
The summit featured two keynote speeches and three panel discussions focusing on Industry.ai, Invest.ai, and Impact.ai. The final panel explored the impact of AI on Armenia's manufacturing, economy, education, and other sectors.
Besides Ralph Yirikian, the panel included the RA Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports Zhanna Andreasyan; Evgeny Lisnyak, Director for Strategic Partnerships with Fintech Companies and Enterprises in the CIS and Southeast Europe Visa; Paolo Prinetto, Director of the National Cybersecurity Laboratory CINI and a member of CNRS Scientific Council; and Luiza Ayvazyan, Head of CIPE’s Armenia office (Center for International Private Enterprise).
The event also featured a postmark cancellation ceremony dedicated to the Silicon Mountains summit. Ucom served as the platinum partner of the summit.
“Artificial intelligence is penetrating all fields today, being utilized at various organizational levels. In this regard, it is crucial that employees and specialists master this tool and use it effectively. At Ucom, we are actively addressing these challenges because we believe the future and success of business are directly tied to the adoption of innovative tools,” said Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom.
“This year’s final summit is dedicated to the application of AI and the panel discussions focus on such topics as Industry.ai, Invest.ai, and Impact.ai. These topics highlight the impact of AI integration in industry, the investment environment, and its overall influence on various economic sectors. As a technological community, we place great importance on AI in education. I am pleased to present our new educational program, Step.ai, designed for Armenian high schools, which will soon be integrated into educational curricula and has been developed in collaboration with our partners,” mentioned Eduard Musayelyan, Executive Director of UEICT.
The event was supported by the RA Ministry of High-Tech Industry and had USAID’s “Economic Foundations for a Resilient Armenia” program as an innovative partner. Silicon Mountains has been held annually for seven years.
