Ucom Receives the International ISO 37001 Standard to Prevent, Detect and Address Bribery
Ucom has received an important international certificate of the ISO 37001 standard. The certificate concerns the rules of conduct and anti-bribery management systems implemented in the company.
In particular, ISO 37001 sets requirements for the creation, implementation, maintenance, continuous improvement of the management of anti-bribery management systems. This certificate is still new for the Armenian market, and Ucom has become one of the first companies to implement this high standard in its procedures.
The above-mentioned system helps the organization prevent, detect and quickly respond to cases of bribery.
“When we at Ucom talk about customer orientation, we always keep in mind that the best quality of services can only be provided in conditions of healthy and fair competition. And for this it is necessary to exclude possible cases of bribery and encourage transparency of work. We have very serious development programs and a willingness to work hard and intend to provide our subscribers with the best possible services, while maintaining the best standards of integrity and related practices,” mentioned Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom.
The procedures and system envisaged by the standard are designed to exclude briberies by the organization, as well as the briberies by individuals and organizations acting on behalf of the company, as well as the acceptance of bribes, including direct and indirect bribes, for example, offering and accepting bribes through a third party.
The certificate was provided by Quay Audit UK Ltd that has been providing audit and international certification since 1995.
