AraratBank: Caring for the Nation's Defenders
In 2022, Araratbank joined an educational initiative supporting student veterans who defended our homeland.
This support program was established through a partnership between AraratBank and the 4090 Charitable Foundation, providing educational opportunities for brave servicemen who participated in the 44-day and 4-day wars.
The Foundation's beneficiaries, veterans of the Armenian Army, continue to contribute to our country's development – now through education. Since the beginning of this collaboration, AraratBank has invested AMD 25,946,400 in the program. A number of successful charitable events have been featured within the initiative.
The "Aznavour 100" charity concert raised AMD 15,758,850, followed by “Menq u Munq", an evening of Armenian jazz and chess that generated AMD 11,000,000, and the "Symphonic Mansuryan" charity concert, which brought in AMD 11,101,000.
The total amount raised – AMD 37,859,850– has been allocated to cover tuition fees for 118 student veterans.
Additionally, AraratBank joined a charity climb of Mount Aragats and "Women for Education" charity breakfasts, which raised an additional AMD 1,926,000, also directed towards supporting students' tuition fees.
These initiatives, along with AraratBank's social programs over the past five years, build upon the humanitarian work carried out by the bank's major shareholders – the Beglaryan family. During the war, the family provided support to forcibly displaced persons through both personal initiatives and the Himq Foundation. The joint investment from Araratbank and Flash Company has reached AMD 105,351,000.
