AraratBank: Main Sponsoring Partner of STEM Expo 2025

AraratBank became the main sponsor of the STEM Expo 2025 scientific event. Embracing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), the event places focus on the core pillars of the development of the younger generation.

The Expo was organized by the ARPA Institute in partnership with the RA Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports. AraratBank’s sponsorship of the event demonstrates the important contribution of a socially responsible and science-based business to building the educational and innovative future of Armenia.

"Beyond serving as the main sponsor of STEM Expo, this year AraratBank has initiated a partnership with the ARPA Institute and funded the development and implementation of educational packages for 5 public schools in the Lori region. We particularly value the implementation of this program in the context of continuously improving education quality in the regions," says Anna Allahverdyan, Head of Communications and CSR Programs Coordination Division at AraratBank, adding that the projects vary widely—from creating automated ecosystems to developing modeling and spatial skills.

The STEM Expo 2025 serves as a framework for two major initiatives - the STEMAR educational program, which promotes project-based learning in Armenian schools by providing teacher training, scientific equipment, and ongoing support, and the Adrin Gharakhani Invention Competition designed to underscore the potential of young scientists and encourage the implementation of innovative ideas. "The event forms part of the culture and heritage of the ARPA Institute, contributing to building a platform for collaboration between different stakeholders," notes Ruben Lusinyants, Vice-Chairman of the ARPA Institute.

This year's Expo featured more than 200 students and over 80 STEM mentors, who presented their projects in an interactive format. "STEM Expo is an environment that inspires inter-school connectivity, paving the way for effective program implementation," said Yelena Ghukasyan, ARPA Institute’s STEMAR Educational Program Lead.

The second part of the event included the award ceremony for the Annual Invention Competition winners, where the two best teams were each awarded 5,000 US dollars.

Over the past three decades, the ARPA Institute has been the driving force behind a number of major initiatives in science, education, healthcare, and technology in Armenia, enhancing the scientific education, innovation, and professional growth among young people.
