IDBank at Cashless Forum Uzbekistan 2025: Building the Future of Customer-Centric Banking
The capital of Uzbekistan hosted the Cashless Forum Uzbekistan 2025, organized by Visa, a global leader in digital payments. The event gathered senior representatives from government institutions, financial organizations, and private businesses from the CIS, Ukraine, Georgia, and Southeast Europe to exchange ideas and strategies around the cashless economy, banking innovation, and financial inclusion.
IDBank also participated in the forum, sharing its experience. During the panel session titled “Digital Banking: Ecosystems and the Future of Customer Experience,” one of the featured speakers was Sergey Arakelyan, IDBank’s Director of Digital Banking. The discussion focused on how banks can build integrated ecosystems and create value for customers through technology and data.
“Digitalization has completely transformed the way we interact with our clients by enabling us to provide them with even more financial tools. Today, only 1% of transactions are carried out in branches, with the rest processed through the Idram&IDBank app, ATMs, and digital platforms. Specifically, the launch of the BNPL format now allows us to issue tens of thousands of loans per day. From the very beginning, our chosen path—to integrate banking services into the Idram app—has nearly increased our customer base twentyfold since the start of the collaboration, while giving customers access to a broader range of services. Of course, it should be noted that alongside digital changes, there is a growing need to educate the public, overcome IT security challenges, and manage social engineering risks. For this purpose, we have created Armenia’s first financial application for children—Idram Junior," said Sergey Arakelyan.
The forum also featured showcases of innovative financial technologies — from payment and security solutions to data-driven customer experience tools. Attendees engaged in high-level discussions and shared best practices on shaping the future of a cashless regional economy.
IDBank remains committed to advancing digital banking and strengthening its role as a forward-thinking financial innovator in Armenia and beyond.
