With the support of IDBank and Idram, the “Symphonic Forest” project was launched

On October 23, the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra launched the “Symphonic Forest” project with a unique concert program. Within the framework of this project, the “Symphonic Forest” will soon be planted in Armenia as a symbol of eternal life. With this initiative, the orchestra also celebrates its 20th anniversary concert season.

The main supporter of the “Symphonic Forest” concert is IDBank, which, together with Idram, has joined the forest-creation initiative through the “Power of One Dram” project. As part of the initiative, 20,000 trees will be planted, of which at least 6,250 trees will be planted thanks to the “Power of One Dram” project.

“The main uniqueness of the ‘Symphonic Forest’ is that it will be arranged in the same layout as the orchestra performs on stage. If we look at it from above, the forest will resemble the structure of a symphony orchestra,” said Sargis Balbabyan, Director of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra.

“The ‘Power of One Dram’ project and the ‘Symphonic Forest’ are very similar in their message: both are based on the importance of unity. Small efforts, when combined, become a great force that brings change to each of our lives,” said Tatevik Vardevanyan, Head of Communications and Corporate Social Responsibility Programs at Idram and IDBank. She emphasized that while in the ‘Power of One Dram’ project those changes are made possible by the seemingly insignificant one-dram contributions that support important national initiatives, in the case of the ‘Symphonic Forest,’ every purchased concert ticket will translate into at least one tree planted:
“I am sure that years from now, we will have a lush forest where we might even enjoy symphonic music,” concluded Vardevanyan.

The founder and director of the My Forest Armenia NGO, Antre Gumuchdjian, highlighted: “This is a very important collaboration, because music is essential for the human soul, and nature is essential for human life.”

It should be noted that, through the cooperation between My Forest Armenia NGO and the Power of One Dram initiative, more than 30,000 trees have already been planted in Armenia.
