Widest 5G Coverage, the Launch of the Uplay Platform, and the Integration of Cerillion: Ucom Summarizes 2025

Ucom summarizes the results of 2025, highlighting key milestones achieved in delivering an enhanced customer experience and driving continuous innovation.

In 2025,  as a leading convergent services operator, Ucom pursued an active digital transformation strategy, achieving a number of key milestones, including the delivery of the widest 5G network coverage in the country.

With the aim of creating a unified and convenient digital ecosystem for its customers, Ucom established and strengthened strategic partnerships with industry leaders Nokia, MediaKind, and Cerillion. These collaborations laid the foundation for the implementation of artificial intelligence in remote customer service software solutions, enabled the launch of the Uplay entertainment platform, and marked the start of the digital transformation of the Company’s billing system.

Thanks to extensive technical upgrades, the 5G network is now available in 48 cities, across more than 600 communities, on major highways, and at border crossing points — making reliable mobile connectivity accessible to 94.5% of the population.

As part of its ongoing digital transformation, Ucom has launched Uplay, an innovative television (TV) and media platform designed to redefine the entertainment experience in Armenia. The Uplay TV and media platform enables users to access the service on up to five devices simultaneously through a single account. Alongside more than 200 TV channels organized into thematic packages, Uplay also offers an extensive library of Armenian and international films.

Alongside the modernization of network stations, Ucom’s fixed network has continued to grow and expand. In 2025, high-speed and high-quality home internet and TV services became available to residents of the town of Yeghvard and four additional districts in Yerevan.

As a result, according to Q3 2025 data, Ucom maintained its leading position in the fixed broadband market, posting 4.0% subscriber growth and a 7.3% increase in revenue compared to the same period of the previous year.

The majority of the company’s nearly 144,000 fixed-line subscribers — over 75% — already use modern convergent services, valuing the convenience of a unified and seamless experience. During the same period, the number of mobile subscribers increased by 7% compared to Q3 of 2024, reaching 754,515.

The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization (EBITDA) amounted to AMD 13.813 billion for the period from January to September 2025. The Company’s EBITDA margin for the same period was 46%.

“2025 was a breakthrough year for us. In the span of just one year, we not only deployed the country’s widest 5G network, but also launched new partnerships that are bringing world-class telecommunications standards to Armenia. Technological progress also brings new responsibility — to deliver higher-quality connectivity and a more personalized experience for each of our subscribers. We will continue to lead with innovation, contributing to Armenia’s digital development and strengthening its global competitiveness,” said Ralph Yirikian, General Director at Ucom.

In 2025, Ucom received international ISO 37301:2021 and ISO 37001 certifications in the fields of compliance and anti-corruption/anti-bribery management. These acknowledgments reflect the company’s consistent efforts to establish operations aligned with legality, ethics, and transparency.

In 2025, within its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, Ucom implemented numerous programs aligned with its strategic pillars — green initiatives, technological innovation, and the development of youth and communities.

In 2026, Ucom will continue setting new benchmarks in network development, expanding educational and community initiatives, and introducing advanced technological solutions — ensuring long-term development, reliable service accessibility, and a sustained contribution to Armenia’s digital future.
