Unibank Launches Biometric Identification in UNIMobile App
Unibank has announced the launch of biometric identification in its UNIMobile mobile application. Customers can now become clients online by downloading the UNIMobile app from the App Store or Google Play, entering the required information and following the system’s simple instructions. The entire process takes only a few minutes and requires only an ID document and a smartphone.
After completing biometric identification, users gain 24/7 access to the bank’s full range of digital financial services without visiting a branch. Through the UNIMobile app, customers can open a bank account, apply for consumer loans, make money transfers within Armenia and abroad, replenish deposits, create digital cards, pay utility bills and access other banking services. Online registration is currently available for resident individuals.
The development of digital banking channels remains one of Unibank’s strategic priorities. The launch of remote identification allows customers to access the bank’s full range of services anytime and from anywhere.
Unibank has also introduced new features in the UNIMobile app aimed at improving convenience and security. Users can now set a new PIN code for their physical card without the need to reissue the card.
In the “Cards” section, a new “Restrictions” submenu has been added, allowing customers to set transaction limits by operation type — online and offline — as well as by geographic region, except the Republic of Armenia.
Unibank will continue expanding its digital services by further enhancing the UNIMobile app and introducing new features for customers.
