AraratBank Reports Growth in its SME Loan Portfolio in 2025

AraratBank continues to expand access to competitive financing for SMEs by adopting international standards and advanced technologies, reinforcing its role in supporting sustainable economic growth in Armenia.

The International Day of Micro-, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, marked on June 27, provides another opportunity to reflect on the achievements of a sector that contributes significantly to economic development and the prosperity of businesses in Armenia.

Consistent with its strategic priorities, AraratBank continues to place strong emphasis on SME lending. In 2025, the Bank provided AMD 11.6 billion to the SME sector, including AMD 3.6 billion to female entrepreneurs (31% of total SME lending in 2025) and more than AMD 1.4 billion to young entrepreneurs.

As a result of the Bank’s focus on providing competitive financial products, the SME loan portfolio has grown. In 2025, it stood at AMD 27.5 billion, recording a 4.2% increase compared to the previous year.

“We strive to provide our clients with competitive and flexible loan products tailored to the needs of their businesses. We also place importance on a personalized approach, offering solutions aligned with each client’s individual needs and concerns, while maintaining ongoing feedback. As a result of these efforts, we have recorded growth in our SME loan portfolio, which reflects both our clients’ trust and the effectiveness of the solutions offered by the Bank. In this context, in November 2025, the Bank launched a new campaign aimed at providing customers with more accessible financial resources to support business development and expansion, as well as to facilitate the consolidation of existing loan obligations with other financial institutions,” says Aram Baghdasaryan, Head of SME Lending Division at AraratBank.

As a trusted partner of the SME sector, AraratBank will continue to expand its product range, creating new opportunities for growth and contribute to a more sustainable economy.

AraratBank is regulated by the Central Bank of Armenia.
