Ucom Supports the Launch of "Remember the Animals" Educational Game

With the support of Ucom, the SunChild Environmental NGO organized an interactive environmental education event as part of the Khnko Aper National Children's Library Summer School, introducing the new educational game, "Remember the Animals."

Through the game, children learned about animal species found in Armenia while developing their memory, attention, and cognitive skills. The initiative aims to foster children's interest in nature through a captivating and accessible format, while raising awareness about environmental protection and Armenia's rich biodiversity.

Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom, also joined the summer school students for the game's trial session and participated in discussions on environmental topics.

"As a green company, Ucom considers it important to support initiatives that help people discover Armenia's nature and encourage children to understand, from an early age, their role in protecting it. Environmental awareness begins to develop when knowledge about nature is presented in a simple and engaging way. Games are among the most effective educational tools, as they combine learning, communication, and active participation," said Ralph Yirikian, General Director of Ucom.

"Environmental education for children and young people lies at the heart of SunChild Environmental NGO’s mission. "Remember the Animals" game is not just entertainment—it provides children with an opportunity to discover Armenia's rich biodiversity and unique wildlife from an early age. By learning to appreciate and protect nature through play, children become its future guardians. We are pleased to partner with Ucom on this initiative, which has enabled us to create a practical and engaging educational tool," said Sona Kalantaryan, President of the SunChild Environmental NGO.

At the end of the event, copies of the game were presented to the Khnko Aper National Children's Library and the participating children, allowing them to continue exploring Armenia's wildlife beyond the event.

The initiative is also part of the awareness campaign being carried out in the lead-up to the 17th Meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Biological Diversity (COP17). More than 500 copies of the game will be printed and distributed to children visiting the Green Zone during COP17.
