A Birthday in Italy with Unibank

Unibank cardholder Haykush Markosyan will celebrate her 35th birthday in Italy after winning the “More Opportunities with Mastercard World Travel” promotion. The prize is a seven-day trip to Italy for two. To enter, participants had to obtain a Mastercard World Travel card from Unibank during the promotional period and use it for at least one transaction abroad.

“This is my lucky card. Our family travels a lot. When we were planning a trip to the United States, I was looking for a card that would give me and my family access to airport lounges and Fast Track services. I was comparing offers from different banks when I saw a post about Unibank’s promotion on a friend’s Facebook page, along with a QR code to apply for the card online. After exploring its benefits, I realised it was a great option for us. I was at work when I received the call telling me I had won. I was delighted: my birthday was coming up, and this trip turned out to be a wonderful gift. A big thank you to Unibank,” said Haykush Markosyan.

According to Gurgen Ghukasyan, First Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Director of Retail Business Development and Sales at Unibank, both the promotion and the card attracted considerable interest. “Demand for Mastercard World Travel exceeded our expectations, with the number of card orders more than 30% above our target. Initiatives like this are another opportunity to highlight that modern banking products offer more than a way to pay: they can also make travel more comfortable. There is no need to visit a branch to get the card — customers can apply online and have it delivered to their chosen address,” said Gurgen Ghukasyan.

Mastercard World Travel is designed for frequent travellers who value comfort and additional privileges. The multicurrency card combines accounts in AMD, USD and EUR, allowing cardholders to pay for purchases abroad in the corresponding currency and avoid unnecessary conversions. The benefits package includes six complimentary airport lounge visits per year worldwide through LoungeKey, available to the cardholder and their guests; six complimentary uses of Fast Track Pass per year; 1 GB of free roaming data; and a 24/7 concierge service.
