Meghan Markle and Archie speak with the Queen before Prince Philip's funeral
Meghan Markle, 39, did not attend the funeral of the husband of Queen Elizabeth II, 95.
The Duchess of Sussex did not travel to Britain with Prince Harry because of her pregnancy and unwillingness to attract attention. However, Meghan supported her husband with regular calls.

"Meghan spoke with Harry before his grandfather's funeral," a source tells PEOPLE in this week's issue. "Meghan and Archie also spoke with the Queen earlier this week."
"Meghan and Harry have been in touch every day," the source adds. "She knows the trip to England has been difficult for Harry. He didn't want to leave Meghan and Archie alone. Meghan has insisted to him every day though that they are fine. She hasn't wanted him to worry."

Markle also consoled the queen while in Montecito. She and her son Archie, who will turn two years old in early May, were talking with the Queen via Zoom.
