How many steps do you need to take per day to prolong life?
The more a person walks, the better it affects the state of health and the duration of his life. This is the conclusion reached by the US specialists.
For three years, they followed three groups of volunteers over 40 years old. The first group walked 4,000 steps a day, the second - 8,000 steps, and the third group overcame 12,000 steps a day.
So the researchers noticed the relationship between the number of steps taken and the duration of life. It turned out that in people from the second group, the risk of death from all causes decreased by 51%, and in the third - by 65%. Thus, the more a person walks, the better it affects his health.
