Go Digital or Go Home: Sergey Arakelyan
Last month, leading experts from the global financial sector gathered in Amsterdam at the Global Digital Transformation Summit in Banking and Insurance, organized by the prestigious European company, Kinfos Events.
Sergey Arakelyan, the Director of Digital Transformation at ID Group, was one of the keynote speakers at the summit, where he presented IDBank's digital transformation strategy, including joint developments with Idram, and discussed the challenges and upcoming innovations. It’s worth noting that Idram and IDBank started their strategic partnership in 2018, and since April 2023, both companies have been part of the ID Group.
The DXB Summit serves as a global platform for experience sharing, where experts from various countries discuss and analyze rapidly evolving technologies in banking and insurance services. Key topics at the summit included artificial intelligence, automation, machine learning, robotic process automation (RPA), generative AI, cloud solutions, data management, payment transformation, cybersecurity, digital assets, embedded finance, Web3, open finance, insurance ecosystem development, and emerging opportunities.
As a Fintech pioneer in Armenia, IDBank found this platform valuable for showcasing its digitalization achievements. One of the key highlights was the successful creation of a joint digital platform with Idram, which expands the range of digital services available on the Armenian market.
“Go digital or go home,” said Sergey Arakelyan, describing IDBank’s approach to innovation. Since 2018, the Bank has introduced several groundbreaking products to the Armenian market, including remote online identification, over 500 payment services within its app, the digital loan Rocket Line, QR code payment options at 22,500 merchant locations and over 1,000 online stores, as well as remote access to a variety of banking services.
