The public movement "Zang" issued a statement that they were subjected to violence while carrying out a civil protest
On December 9, the public movement "Zang" issued a statement that they were subjected to violence while carrying out a civil protest action in Yerevan's Mashtots Park.
In particular, according to the movement, during the mentioned civil action, one of the "red beret" police officers punched one of their friends on the head. He did it when their friend was practically helpless, because his hands were held by other policemen and he could not avoid the blow even if he wanted to. This fact was confirmed by the "Zang" movement to our foundation during the discussion.
Moreover, the "Zang" movement posted a report about this on its public page with relevant details.
The mentioned data is sufficient in itself for the criminal prosecution body to initiate immediate criminal proceedings. The facts are sufficient and they do not require a crime report; it should be done on one's own initiative and immediately. These are irrevocable international requirements.
