Unibank to Issue Subordinated Bonds for the First Time in Armenia
Unibank announces subordinated bonds issue equal to USD 10 million. The annual coupon rate is 6.25%, the maturity of the bonds - 7 years. The coupon income will be paid quarterly.
Unibank became the first bank in Armenia to issue subordinated bonds. The minimum bond purchase amount is USD 10.000 that may be acquired at Unibank head office or its branches. The placement of the issue is planned to be completed by February 24, 2025, after that subordinated bonds will be listed on the Armenian Stock Exchange. Unibank has been one of the most active participants in the securities market since 2016. At the AMX AWARDS 2024, the bank was recognized as the best in two nominations: “Best Equity Issuer on the Exchange” and “Best in Secondary Equity Market”. Overall, Unibank placed 28 tranches of bonds worth about USD 70 million and carried out the listing procedure on the exchange.
The Subordinated bonds prospectus (registered on 13.11.2024) is published on www.unibank.am. The funds received from the subordinated bonds issue are not guaranteed in accordance with the RA Law "On Guaranteeing Compensation for Bank Deposits of Individuals" before the occurrence of the compensation case specified in Article 5 of the given law takes place, the bonds will be converted into Bank's ordinary shares in the manner and amount prescribed in the Prospectus.
